The Make-A-Wish Big Wish is a night that sticks with you, that inspires you, and that gives you hope. It’s a night that lets me watch as kids are braver than I could ever dream to be. A night that lets me see how our community rallies around these children, with love and support and donations to help make their big wish come true.

I’ve photographed this evening before. And every time, it’s breathtaking. But this year, this night was the best I’ve ever experienced. It was knock-you-off-your-socks beautiful. I captured images I will always be thankful for. Kids cheerfully reliving their wishes, parents bravely baring their hearts as they tearfully recount what a vacation meant to their family then and how much it means now after their son has passed, the smallest, sweetest, most perfect girl being granted her wish in front of a ballroom of completely moved strangers.

This night is incredible. It is a gift to photograph it.

Take some time to look at what the Big Wish night supports. Sweet kids. Happy kids. Kids who are living out their biggest wishes.

Courtney is a total doll. And such a beauty. In fact, despite the rain, Courtney looked lovely and was just as sweet as she looked. This girl is kind, easy-going, and so friendly. I loved photographing her senior session and am so excited for her as she heads off to college in the fall. Hope you love every second of it, Courtney!

I’ve spent the colder months of this year capturing beautiful babies and sweet kids and loved every single second of it. It’s always a joy to photograph the expanding family of a past brides and grooms, an addition to a family who I’ve been photographing for years, the perfect baby of dear friends, and yes, even my own boy.

But as much as I love photographing kids, babies, and families, 2013 has become a year of weddings. We are filled to the brim with beautiful brides and grooms eager for pretty engagement and wedding photos. And we’re eager to take them. So unfortunately, our time for babies and families is limited this year.

To help accommodate you, our incredible clients, we’ll be offer mini sessions in both the summer and the fall. We’re so excited for our summer sessions. We have a great location lined up and a beautiful cause to celebrate. Swing back around on Monday, April 29 as we announce the dates and location, tell you how we’re giving back, and open up our summer mini sessions for booking.

One of my very favorite Indianapolis wedding vendors is videographer, MK Wedding Story. His vision and direction of wedding videos is so forward-thinking and exciting that I could spend hours watching through his site. My month has been filled with the most beautiful joy. My first child has entered our home and taken over our hearts. Jude is a dream. A complete blessing and constant happiness. He has filled our lives with his tiny toes, big sleepy smiles, and unwavering, unquestioning love. He’s perfect.

For the past six years I’ve had the pleasure of photographing your lives. Your new experiences, your biggest joys, your happy moments. I’ve loved every minute of it. This month, I loved photographing my own. I hope you enjoy this tiny peek into my month. From great big belly to great big one month old.

Suzette and I hit it off from the start. She’s adorable, bubbly, so friendly, and fun. Together, her and Kevin and even more wonderful. And I am so excited for their wedding.

Despite some chilly February weather, we took a stroll through Noblesville to grab just a few quick shots for their Save the Date session. I had a great time and can’t wait for their full engagement session when the weather gets warmer.

I love, love, love the Omni Severin. In fact, I love it enough to consider it one of the best parts of my 2012. So you can imagine how honored I was to photograph head shots for the Omni’s wedding guru’s, Kate and Meaghan. These girls are lovely. They’re fun for me to be around, and wonderful for my clients to work with. They help make the Omni a top-class Indy wedding venue.

A few months back I photographed Eric and Tricia both glowing with excitement of Tricia’s pregnancy. A few days ago, their baby was born. And today, I got to meet their little guy, Justin. What a cutie!
